Vegetable leather made from apple residues

Fannie Laroche, an entrepreneur from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, has teamed up with chemist Gregory Hersant to launch Flaura, plant-based leather. Their goal? To become leaders in the production of leather made from apple residues.

Trained as a stylist and owner of L’Habilleuse, Fannie Laroche was inspired to explore new textiles. Her web searches led her to the website of a company in Denmark that markets apple leather.
